How to Set a Downloaded Music as Ringtone on Huawei Y6P | Mp3 Ringtone
Hey guys! Welcome to Pinoy Tech Tips!
In this video, I will demonstrate the standard process of setting a downloaded music file as a new ringtone on the Huawei Y6P smartphone.
Downloaded MP3 Ringtones
Huawei devices do offer a number of preloaded ringtones that you can use whenever you decide to replace the default. All you have to do is to access the ringtone directory from the sound settings menu of the device.
Aside from the preloaded audio tracks, you can also set your favorite music or even a video as the ringtone for incoming calls. If you are using two SIM cards into your device, you can configure the ringtone for SIM 1 and SIM 2 separately.
Depicted in this tutorial video is the actual process of setting a downloaded MP3 music file as a new ringtone on the Huawei Y6P. Here's how it's done.
Steps to set a Downloaded Music File as Ringtone on Huawei Y6p
Before you proceed, be sure to get your preferred music file set. If you haven’t already, download the music file using any available tool or app on your phone. Once you’ve got everything set, just follow these steps.
To get started, access the Apps viewer then find and tap the Settings icon.
The main settings menu opens, prompting a list of all features and settings.
Scroll down to the middle section of the list and then tap Sounds and vibration.
On the next menu, you will see the main sound controls for media, ringtone, alarms and the like.
Scroll down to the lower section and then tap to select Phone ringtone from the given options.
The selected ringtone for the highlighted sim card will be displayed on the next screen.
To change this, tap Music on device.
Doing so will route you to the built-in directory or folder that stores all downloaded and saved music files.
If you don't see your preferred song in the list, then just download it first. Then, tap to mark the radio button next to the song title.
To apply the changes, simply tap the Back key.
On the Phone ringtone menu, you should see your preferred song already selected and set as the new ringtone for the highlighted sim card.
To change the ringtone for your other sim card, just repeat the same steps.
If you want, you can also crop a local song and then set it as ringtone, alarm or notification on your phone. Supported music file formats that you can crop are mp3, ACC, FLAC, and QY2.
And that's how you set a local or downloaded music file as the new ringtone on your Huawei smartphone.
