How to Create, Leave and Control Group Chats on Discord
Discord group chats allow you to have multiple friends or people in one direct message. A group chat works the same as a typical direct message, and allows all members to chat via text, voice or video. Discord group chats also have a host or leader. The leader of the chat is the user that originally started the group. A group leader has the ability to remove a user from the group.
A Discord group can be created from the home friends page on the Discord application or browser version. The speech bubble icon with the plus icon will allow you to start a new group DM. When creating the group you will see all of your added friends in a list, which you can manually search by scrolling, or by typing a username into the search menu. All selected users will automatically be added to the group when the “Create Group DM” is pressed.
To leave a Discord group chat you can either right click on the group and choose to leave, or close the DM by clicking the cross that appears when your cursor is hovering over the group.
