To transfer PS5 video clips to your phone, the easiest method is using the PlayStation App. Here’s how to do it step-by-step.

First, set up your PS5 for seamless transfers. Go to Settings, then Captures and Broadcasts, and select Captures. Enable Auto-Upload. This automatically sends your manual clips (up to 3 minutes long, 1920x1080 resolution or lower) to the cloud, linked to the PlayStation App. For this to work, ensure your PS5 stays online in rest mode—go to Settings, System, Power Saving, Features Available in Rest Mode, and turn on Stay Connected to the Internet. Once enabled, new clips you record will upload without extra steps.

For existing clips or if Auto-Upload wasn’t active, you can upload them manually. On your PS5, go to the Media Gallery on the home screen. Find the video clip you want, highlight it, press the Options button on your controller, and choose Upload to PlayStation App. This sends the clip to the cloud. Note that auto-captures like trophy videos won’t upload—only manual recordings work.

Next, on your phone, install the PlayStation App from the App Store (iOS) or Google Play Store (Android) if you haven’t already. Open it and sign in with the same PlayStation Network account as your PS5. Tap the Game Library icon at the bottom, then select Captures near the top. You’ll see your uploaded clips here, stored for 14 days from the upload date.

To transfer a clip to your phone, tap it to open it full-screen, then press the download icon, usually an arrow pointing down, in the bottom right corner. The clip will save to your phone’s camera roll or gallery.

Test it by recording a short clip using the Create button on your controller, letting it upload (automatically or manually), and checking the app after a brief wait. If it doesn’t appear, ensure your PS5 is online, the app is current, and you’re logged into the matching ACCOUNT.
