How to Turn On Do Not Disturb on Android & Allow Only Certain People to call (Settings Tutorial)
Let’s set up Do Not Disturb on your Android device and configure it to allow only specific people to call you. Here are the steps:
Turn On Do Not Disturb:
Swipe down from the top of your screen to access the notification shade.
Tap on Do Not Disturb to enable it.
Customize Interruption Settings:
Open your device’s Settings app.
Navigate to Sound & vibration and select Do Not Disturb.
Under “What can interrupt Do Not Disturb,” you can choose what to block or allow:
People: Block or allow calls, messages, or conversations.
Apps: Choose which apps can send you notifications.
Alarms & other interruptions: Block or allow alarms, media, touch sounds, reminders, or calendar events.
Set Who Can Interrupt You:
Tap on People under “What can interrupt Do Not Disturb.”
Choose what to allow:
Calls: Anyone, contacts, or starred contacts. You can also enable Allow repeat callers to let a call through if the same person calls twice within 15 minutes.
Messages: Anyone, contacts, starred contacts, or priority conversations.
Configure Do Not Disturb Duration:
Tap on Duration for Quick Settings under Do Not Disturb.
Choose how long you want it to stay on:
Until you turn it off
A specific time duration (e.g., 2 hours or 15 minutes)
Ask every time
Stop Interruptions Automatically:
Tap on Turn on automatically under Do Not Disturb.
Set specific times when Do Not Disturb should activate automatically.
