How to Locate & Turn On the Flashlight on your Android Phone (Settings Tutorial)
1Turning on the flashlight on your Android phone is quite straightforward. Here are three different ways to do it:
Quick Settings Method:
Swipe down from the top of your phone’s screen twice to access the Quick Settings menu.
Look for the “Flashlight” tile (it’s usually represented by a flashlight icon).
Tap the tile to turn on the flashlight.
To turn it off, simply tap the same “Flashlight” tile again.
Google Assistant Method:
Launch Google Assistant (you can do this by opening the Google app and tapping the microphone icon).
Say “Turn on the flashlight” to activate the flashlight.
To turn it off, ask Google Assistant to "Turn off the flashlight"1.
Gesture Method (for phones that support gestures):
Go to your phone’s Settings.
Navigate to “Buttons & Gestures” and select “Quick Gestures.”
Choose a gesture (such as drawing an O, V, S, M, or W) to turn the flashlight on and off.
Once configured, turn off your phone’s screen and draw the chosen gesture to activate the flashlight. Repeat the gesture to turn it off1
