About this video: This video is a complete guide on how to enable KeepInventory on your Minecraft server. This will stop players from losing their inventory when they die on your Minecraft server. On a server, this can actually be a good thing as it is not uncommon for players to die and not be able to get back and easily recover their stuff. Luckily, this is very easy and can even be toggled on and off very easily.

So how do you turn on Keep Inventory on your Minecraft server? Well, you must either be op’d or have access to the server console. This is required in order to enable KeepInventory on a server. Thus, you cannot just randomly go into Minecraft servers and make your inventory always stay on you. There isn’t any way to do that sadly.

Once you are either on the server with an OP’d account or in your server’s console, it is super easy to turn on KeepInventory. Just run the command /gamerule keepInventory true

When you run that command, Keep Inventory will then be turned on. You can test this to make sure, but you should also have a confirmation show up either in the console or in-game depending on where you ran the command.

If you want to turn keep inventory back off, it is super easy well. Just use the same command, but false instead of true. So the command to turn off KeepInventory is /gamerule keepInventory false

There will then be confirmations in game or in the console that keep inventory has in fact now been canceled.

And there you have it! That is how to enable KeepInventory on a Minecraft server.
