About this video: LThis video is our complete guide on how to make a Minecraft Bedrock server in 2021. This is specifically a Minecraft Bedrock dedicated server. These servers allow you to have full control over a server that can be joined by any platform that has Minecraft Bedrock Edition. So that means you can have players on Minecraft Windows Edition, Minecraft on iOS, and even Minecraft on Nintendo Switch all join this Bedrock Dedicated server using the same exact IP Address and port.
First things first though, we need to note a few things. The first thing is that you will need a Windows PC to host the server. You are not required to play Minecraft Bedrock Edition on that PC, but you will need a Windows computer to run the server on. You will also need to make sure that this server is just for your friends, family, people that you trust. This is not meant to be a public server. If you don’t have a Windows PC or you want a public server, you will need to use a company like Apex Minecraft Hosting. They will let you make a public server without a Windows PC.
Nevertheless, if you do want a Bedrock Minecraft Server for just your friends and you have a Windows PC to host it on, let’s go ahead and get started! The first thing you need to do is go to the second link in the description above. That will take you the Minecraft Bedrock Dedicated server download page. Once you are there, agree to the Minecraft Bedrock server EULA and click the ‘Download’ button under the Windows section.
After the file is downloaded, you will need to right-click on the file you downloaded, click extract, and confirm you want to extract the files. You will then be given a folder. Open that folder, and there will be a ‘bedrock_server.exe’ file. Double click this to open the server and get it started. Now, you will still need to port forward in order to actually join your Bedrock Minecraft Server.

This is different from java servers, so make sure you forward the correct port. Again, the port for Minecraft Bedrock servers is 19132. Finally though, we can join your server. To do this, you will need your public IP. You can find your public IP at the link above. When you are there, go ahead and copy it and go into Minecraft Bedrock Edition. Click on ‘play’, click on ‘servers', scroll down and click 'add server'. Name the server anything you want. Then, put your public IP address in the IP address section. The port can stay the same. Click save, and you will be able to select and join your server on the bottom right side of the play tab!
