How to Turn on PS5 & Control with your Phone PlayStation App (Best Method)
3To turn on and control your PS5 using your phone with the PS Remote Play app:
Set Up PS5:
Update PS5: Settings - System - System Software - Update.
Enable Remote Play: Settings- System - Remote Play - Enable.
Allow Rest Mode wake-up: Settings - System - Power Saving - Features Available in Rest Mode - Enable Stay Connected to Internet and Enable Turning On PS5 from Network.
Set Up PS Remote Play App:
Download PS Remote Play from App Store or Google Play.
Sign in with your PSN account.
Connect to PS5 (must be in Rest Mode or on, same network preferred).
Turn On PS5:
Open PS Remote Play, select your PS5 to wake it from Rest Mode.
Or, in PlayStation App, go to Game Library - Purchased, select a game, tap Play on Console to wake and launch.
Control PS5:
Use PS Remote Play’s on-screen controller or pair a DualSense/DUALSHOCK 4 via Bluetooth (Settings - Bluetooth).
Navigate menus, play games, or manage settings.
PlayStation App can remotely download games or manage storage (Settings - Storage).
Disconnect/Turn Off:
In PS Remote Play, tap Settings - Disconnect, optionally select Rest Mode.
To turn off, use Control Center - Power - Turn Off PS5.
