How to View when PlayStation Plus Expires or Cancels for PS5 using PlayStation App on Phone
3To view when your PlayStation Plus (PS Plus) subscription expires or to cancel it for your PS5 using the PlayStation App on your phone, follow these steps:
Open the PlayStation App:
Launch the PlayStation App on your iOS (14.0 or later) or Android (8.0 or later) device. Sign in with the same PlayStation Network (PSN) account linked to your PS5.
Access Account Settings:
From the app’s home screen (Play tab), tap the Gear icon in the top-right corner to go to Settings.
Select Account Management or Users and Accounts (label may vary by app version).
Check PS Plus Expiration:
Tap Payment and Subscriptions or Subscriptions.
Find your PlayStation Plus subscription (Essential, Extra, or Premium). The app will display the subscription tier, status (active or expired), and the expiration date (e.g., "Renews on August 4, 2025").
If no expiration date is shown, your subscription may already be expired or canceled. You can confirm this on your PS5 under Settings - Users and Accounts - Account - Payment and Subscriptions - Subscriptions.
Cancel PS Plus Subscription:
In the Subscriptions section, select your PlayStation Plus plan.
Tap Cancel Subscription or Turn Off Auto-Renew. Confirm the action when prompted.
After canceling, you’ll see a confirmation, and the subscription will remain active until the current billing period ends (e.g., if you cancel a 12-month plan on July 4, 2025, that expires August 4, 2025, you can use benefits until that date).
Note: Canceling removes auto-renewal, but you cannot get a refund for the remaining time unless permitted by PlayStation Store refund policies (check playstation.com for regional rules).
Ensure PS5 is Linked:
For accurate subscription details, ensure your PS5 is linked to the app (Settings - Link Console to App) and in rest mode with Stay Connected to the Internet enabled (PS5 Settings- System - Power Saving - Features Available in Rest Mode).
