To view the hours played on games on an Xbox One console, you can follow these steps:

Go to your Xbox One Dashboard: Turn on your Xbox One console and ensure that you are signed in to the account for which you want to view the playtime.

Navigate to "My games & apps": You can do this by pressing the Xbox button on your controller to open the guide and then selecting "My games & apps" from the list of options.

Select "See all" under "Games": This will take you to a list of all the games and apps installed on your Xbox One.

Highlight the game you want to check: Navigate to the game you want to see the hours played for using the directional pad on your controller.

Press the "Menu" button (formerly known as the Start button): This will open a context menu with various options for the selected game.
