Impaler is a simple but fun First Person Arena Shooter. You start your run, by picking a weapon, that you have unlocked. Each round is held in the same room, but obstacles that gets teleportet in, change the layout of the room a bit. each round there are also monster spawning and also something that looks like a giant trophy. If you push the trophy in the goal, you get rewarded with extra gold. Killing Monsters also gets you gold and health.
And at the end of each round, you can pick between two powerups, that you can buy with the gold that you have picked up. But each time you buy a powerup, the next one costs 5 Gold more.

Aside the main weapon, that you pick, you also have a staff, that summons impaling stakes from the ground. If you kill a monster with this, you also get a healthpickup. If you kill an enemy with your Main weapon, you just get gold. The reason, why you not only attack with your impaling staff is, that if only got a short range, while your main weapons can shoot for a further range, they also deal more damage per second.

Okay i have to admit, that there are games, that does a similar thing, like Immortal Redneck or Into the Pit as example, but Impaler regularly costs a fifth or a sixth of they price. And maybe the simplicity is also appealing, since you basically just hit start and the game starts.
