Nvidia Tease 'Ultimate Gaming Event' | Major OSs Vulnerable Thanks To Developers Misreading Manuals
Ahead of GTC taiwan, Nvidia's website has hinted that we'll be seeing the ultimate gaming experience during the live stream, but it's likely this isn't going to be related to the launch of a new gpu architecture, instead will be likely 4k HDR g-sync monitors and new laptops.
Also there's news Nvidia are going to release a 3gb variant of the GeForce GTX 1050 graphics card, bumping up the RAM from the meagre 2gb of the base model. The GeForce gtx 1050 3GB model will likely use a 96-bit memory bus, according to reports, but this isn't confirmed yet. If this is the case, it would reduce the memory bandwidth compared to the regular gtx 1050 2gb model, which has 128-bit bus, unless nvidia compenstated somehow - such as increasing the clock speed of the RAM used on the GPU.
Intel have made a number of investments, including a company which have a method to spearhead the production of 2nm chips, which will be crucial in the future for Intel to keep on track with Moore's law. Moore's law has been notoriously falling behind schedule, not least because of the troubles from intel to move from a 14nm process to 10nm, which Intel aserts will happen next year.
Finally, CVE-2018-8897 is a major security flaw that is within numerous operating systems, including windows, linux and mac. This security flaw is due to software developers reading manuals for Intel and AMD processors wrong, and the flaw allows either malware or a malicious user to execute code that would leave the system vulnerable.
