In this video I finish up my game of Kerbal Space Program First Contract.

At the end of the last episode, we finally unlocked all of the tech tree, however, we still have a few contracts left, including a rescue of a Kerbal from orbit. So in this episode, we attempt to complete all the remaining contracts.

At the beginning of the episode, we ferst review all the science that we gathered in order to unlock the tech tree. however, once that is done, we are off to complete the contracts that we have remaining.

The remaining contracts are to rescue a kerbal from orbit, test a decoupler in orbit, and to test an engine in a suborbital trajectory. Luckily, they can all be done in one mission. So we set off to build a rocket to do that.

We start with a 3 man capsule that we will remove a kerbal from in order to have room for the rescue. We then attack some fuel, the engine we have to test, and some solar panels and RCS. We then attache the decoupler that we need to test and a some fuel and a skipper engine to make sure we get into orbit. Belos that we bult a powerful launch stage with a big NASA engine and 4 solid boosters.

We head out the the launch pad, and we find the Jeb has jumped in the cockpit, even though we tried to leave room for the kerbal we need to rescue. A quick correction, and the seat is empty and we are ready to launch. The launch is uneventful and we are soon on our way to orbit. The initial stage almost gets us to orbit, and we barely have to used the second stage.

We test the decoupler, and then perform a small burn to let Aldgee catch up to us. We match speeds with him, as he is about 700 meters away. He flies to the ship and boards. We then wait a few orbits so that we can land while KSC is in daytime. One the sun rises over KSC, we prepare our deorbit burn, and then shortly after we test the engine in our sub-orbital path. Everythinng goes well, and we are headed to a landing just west of KSC. We pop the parachutes and slow down, but use the engines to slow us more for landing. The ship tips over and the fuel tank explodes after landing, but everyone is OK!

This will conclude my play of First Contract, but I'll be making some more videos periodically to play with some of the new parts that were added in 0.25. I'll see you guys them!
