3This is another level with only one critical time, as it is impossible to collect two clocks within the speed bonus of 26 seconds. That being said, the best time I've been able to do this level in is 2:42, with only a frame or two to spare! As a result, there are a few noteworthy areas that require some pretty technical movement:
The first jump to bounce off a Dragon at 0:08 is hard in that if the jump is too early, you will hit the rock blocks above you. Too late, and you will hit the wall in front of you, losing your needed horizontal speed. It has a pretty narrow frame window, and also be sure to perform the follow-up jumps correctly as well!
At 0:15, I advise to bounce off the Dragon as far as you can. This will mean you have to get as close to the Crystal as possible without bouncing off it. Since you may get so close to it (as was done here), Berzerker may not even enter his charging animation when landing, so you will have to use some Invulnerability in order to bypass the Crystal. In regards to the Invulnerability power that was used before this one, it honestly wasn't even needed. The only reason I initiated it was I was afraid I may have jumped too early and was going to get hit by that first drill block, making the extra round of invulnerability here simply a precautionary measure.
The last trick begins at 0:18, in that I discovered the fastest practical way to get past the diagonal line of iron blocks is to simply jump precisely before the bottom one and ram it. Not only that, but the rammed steel block creates a longer platform at the foot of the set of stairs up to the flag. This allows you to bounce off the previous Dragon, easily land on that platform, and seamlessly jump up towards the flag! I haven't seen this strategy be used by anyone before, but it saves quite a few frames, enough to lower a time down to 2:42!
