Here's a written list of the passwords: https://www.speedrun.com/killer7/guide/rfelc

The passwords in Smile 2 are different depending on the language. In the original console versions, the Japanese version (which released first) only has Japanese, the NA version only has English, and the PAL version has English, French, and German. The PC version has access to all four languages with their respective version differences, so I recorded on PC for convenience and higher video quality.

The change of the Social Security code from ELBOW to EAGLE is pretty well-known. ELBOW is a significant reference to Suda's earlier games, but because they had not been translated at the time of Killer7's release, my assumption is that they scrubbed out this reference to prevent confusion. When playing in French/German, EAGLE is translated to those respective languages. In Japanese, it's also split into two questions, NODATA being the citizen number, ELBOW being the citizen class (please correct me if I have the wrong translation).

The format for dates also changes depending on the language. Interestingly, when playing in French/German, dates are day/month/year, but when playing the original (console) PAL version in English, dates are month/day/year like the NA version.

The rest of the differences, I can only make some educated guesses. I'm not sure about the changes to the safe passwords or his school ID. For the blood type, the game asks for Emir's mother's blood type in Japanese, but Emir's blood type in English/French/German, meaning the game still gives you the same information, but asks for something different.

I'm also not quite sure about Nevada vs. Alabama. Perhaps a different reference meant with Alabama instead of Nevada? Emir's date of death is also changed from being exactly ten years from his birth in Japanese to something different; also not sure about this one, besides maybe 04/28/1952 being a different date of significance, or perhaps they thought having him "die" exactly ten years apart looked strange.

All of the passwords come from Holbert's tapes, which can be found here:
