JP Killer8 is very different from "regular" (NA/PAL) Killer8; it's not a OHKO mode, enemies have much more health, and you can hold eight vials of blood instead of five. The PC version of Killer7 lets you access the version differences of each region by selecting their respective language(s), so I was able to play JP8 by booting the game in Japanese. I decided to do a few attempts of JP8 on a whim as it was a category nobody had touched yet on PC. My first run (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2TiRp8rFSnU) was good, though I died at Ayame 2, and I wanted to get a deathless run before moving on. Fortunately, this next attempt wound up being exactly what I wanted.

JP8 is a strange category, using Normal routes with regular Killer8 bits and completely unique bits mixed in. Being only my second PC run, some sections aren't quite routed out optimally, but since I wasn't planning on putting too much time into the category anyway, I did what I could in just under a week of running, and the run was solid overall. If I ever revisit JP8 in the future, I would spend a little more time polishing up the route.
