Working on the arch of the deepslate bridge, we run out of red nether bricks! We decide to head to the nether mines and gather more netherrack for smelting into bricks! After tunnelling for a long time, we come across some ancient debris! Wow! Soon after mining it, our tunnel reaches a deep lava ocean that we cannot get past!

Placing down our bucket of water, we jump into the river to pick up a slab! Tridents fly towards us, and we dive into the water to slay the drowned! We swim back up to the stone platform and cross over to the copper loops to climb up to the bridge above!

Heading to the plains, we look at the bridge from the side! We walk to the end of the red nether brick arch and start filling in the gaps! We place down stairs and slabs on the sides of the arch before sleeping for the night! The next day, we proceed up the arch as we build!

Crafting slabs as we need them, we widen the arch by copying the blocks in the centre! Halfway up the arch, we run out of red nether bricks though! Dang it! We leave our stonecutter on the arch before heading back to the plains! Keeping our items in the double chest, we decide to go mining for more netherrack!

Walking away from the bridge, we look at it before jumping into the river! We swim to the nearby banks to harvest the sugar canes! In the cave, we keep the sugar canes in the chest before entering the portal! In the Nether, we go through the tunnel to get to the nether wastes!

Slaying a piglin, we head towards the mines! We cross a cobblestone bridge and climb down some weeping vines. Then, we head down a staircase to go beneath the lava! At the nether mines, we extend the main tunnel that connects all of the shafts!

Creating entrances to two new shafts, we start mining away from the main tunnel! We place down torches every eight blocks to lower the chances of mobs spawning in the shaft. Soon, we find some gravel and some lava! Luckily, we manage to block off the fiery liquid!

As we mine, more lava flows out from the left side of the tunnel! We block off the lava and continue to go forwards! Some lava drips from the ceiling, but as long as it is not in the tunnel, it is fine! We find some nether quartz ore, nice!

Finding some blackstone on the ceiling, lava flows into the tunnel again! We block it off and keep mining! After a while, we go past multiple veins of nether quartz, which we decide to leave behind! We count the number of blocks between torches to ensure that they are correctly placed!

We check the F3 debug screen briefly to see our coordinates! We accidentally take a screenshot with F2, oops! Further ahead, we find our first nether gold ore on the floor! We decide not to mine it to save space in our inventory for more netherrack!

A short while later, we find another gold ore vein! We mine it because it is blocking the tunnel, and we see some ancient debris! Brilliant! We dig around the area and find three blocks of ancient debris in total! We mine it before placing down some torches!

Our inventory is still not full yet, so we proceed with mining! We find more gold ore, more quartz, and more gravel! Digging away the gravel, lava enters the tunnel from the left! We try to block it off, but we realise that we are unable to!

The lava flows onto our feet and sets us on fire! Ouch! We dig downwards and place a netherrack block from the bottom to block off the lava! We remove another gravel block, and a lot more lava flows into the tunnel! We get burnt again, and we eat a golden carrot!

It seems to be impossible to block off the lava completely! We dig further into the ground in an attempt to go under the lava but it is fruitless! We realise that this lava deposit is quite deep, and even at y-level 9, we are unable to place blocks in the lava!

Filling the hole with netherrack, we sprint back to the main tunnel! To gather more netherrack, we extend the main tunnel again! We find some gravel and gold ore before mining a little in one of the shafts! Taking out the netherrack from the double chest, we see that we are still short of a full inventory!

Heading to the other end of the main tunnel, we continue to mine netherrack! We find even more nether gold ore! Once our inventory is full, we return to the double chest and keep our items before ending the episode! We should have enough materials to complete the deepslate bridge now!
