Welcome to Game Play. A series, of sorts, where I check out various video games and share the pure gameplay experience with you.

Today we're taking a look at LEGO: Jurassic World on the Xbox Series S.

My immediate impressions so far:

While I wait for my Series X to arrive, I've gotten myself the Series S, and so far I'm loving the system. Despite it's more modest hardware and performance compared to both the Series X and PS5, the Xbox Series S still packs quite a punch.

Running LEGO: Jurassic World is absolutely a blast on the new hardware. The system remains dead silent and the auto HDR truly breathes new life into the visuals.

I'm also pleased to see the console being able to record natively in 1080p at 60 fps to an external device. The One S, and even the One X, could only record in 1080p at 30 fps, although the One X can also record at 4K / 30 fps.

All in all, I love the Series S and I highly recommend it for those wanting to check out next generation hardware without breaking the bank.

The game itself is a joy to play and I highly recommend it.

The game was recorded directly on the console to an external HDD. No postwork has been done.
