LEGO: Jurassic World (Xbox One X) - Gameplay
Welcome to Game Play. A series, of sorts, where I check out various video games and share the pure gameplay experience with you.
Today we're taking a look at LEGO: Jurassic World on the Xbox One X.
My immediate impressions so far:
It's a LEGO game, so most of you are already familiar with the formular. And it works.
Following the first four films, you get to experience the LEGO-fied versions of both major plot points and your favorite scenes while you gather bricks to purchase new characters and vehicles.
The humor is very much intact, and the gameplay is solid. I'm enjoying myself, and as a fan of the films, it's interesting to experience parts of the movie we didn't get to see. For instance, how Dr. Ellie Sattler and Dr. Gerry Harding came back to the visitor's center after attempting to treat the ill Triceratops. It's small touches like this that adds to the experience.
Is it a game for you? Well, if you've ever liked a LEGO game then you'll most likely enjoy this one as well. For me, I've no issue recommending this so go check it out.
The game was recorded directly on the console to an external HDD. Sadly, the folks at Xbox still haven't fixed their 4K DVR issue, so I wasn't able to record higher than 1080p at 30fps. Some edits were made to combine the various clips.
