Building large scale application is more difficult than many people understand or expect. Join me in this long running series where I set out to duplicate one of the most popular social media platforms ever creating using Java, Spring Boot, Spring Security, PostgreSQL data, React JS web application framework and more.
In this episode we start on the ability to view a singular post when clicking on it. To do this we start out by making a new page to show the individual post. Then we create the top bar for this page and bring it into the page. The bulk of the work is on the individual post component we create to hold all of the posts content and information. To get the new component completely working we have to create a few new util functions to stringify dates and times then we could finally wrap up the episode by styling and including the new individual post component inside of our view post page.
