Building large scale application is more difficult than many people understand or expect. Join me in this long running series where I set out to duplicate one of the most popular social media platforms ever creating using Java, Spring Boot, Spring Security, PostgreSQL data, React JS web application framework and more.

In this episode we continue working on the image editor modal. Today we setup the ability to actually be able to move the image that you have loaded in up and down, and or left and right. To do this we setup a new function inside of the image editor component which uses some simple math and margin offsets to move the image around the modal area. Once we are able to move the image around, we create a new component to house the slider bar to allow us to zoom into our images. Inside this component we had to create a custom slider bar which we styled up like twitters and tested out to be sure its ready for the next episode where we will implement the zoom logic.
