Lets Build Twitter From the Ground Up: Episode 234 || Java, Spring Boot, PostgreSQL and React
Building large scale application is more difficult than many people understand or expect. Join me in this long running series where I set out to duplicate one of the most popular social media platforms ever creating using Java, Spring Boot, Spring Security, PostgreSQL data, React JS web application framework and more.
We have another short, and somewhat simple episode today. In this episode we are primarily focusing on re-setting up the ability to schedule posts. To do this we need to create a new reducer in our PostSliceV2 to be able to independently update the scheduled boolean and the scheduled date. Once we have this done, we need to update the schedule post modal content with a small change, and also update the logic behind actually scheduling the post in the schedule post modal top bar. Once we are happy with the schedule post modal changes we turn our attention back to the feed post creator where we add in some new html to indicate to the user that their post is scheduled. After we completed the scheduled post logic, there was only adding emojis to the post left todo before being ready to send over our new post payload to the backend in the next episode.
