Compared to Shadows of Amn, the expansion has far less areas to explore off the beaten track. What side missions there are tend not to be far off the beaten track, clustered together in places you’ll be going to repeatedly. Saradush was that place in this chapter and now that we’re away from the besieged city, we won’t be finding much that’s not related to the main quest for some time.

As for what we’re doing out here, we need to find Yaga-shura’s weakness, presuming the fire giant actually has one. It’s not everyday that you face a foe who is invincible and when you do, it’s usually because of a magic spell or a ritual that we can ruin with our meddling. Our sole lead points towards the forests of Mir and so that’s where we’ll begin our search, though the place is a far cry from the peaceful glades of the Sword Coast we encountered in the first game. No, this place is seeping with the latent power of our divine father and we all know how friendly that is.
