Let’s Play The Fall Part 2 Unbound #08: Drawing Closer to the User and… Josephs?
This is my first playthrough through this game. Kindly avoid posting spoilers in the comments or solutions to puzzles either in this video or future ones so as not to spoil the experience for me or those that haven’t seen the game before.
We have managed to trace the user’s signal to a place in orbit. Whether it’s a spaceship or a space station is irrelevant to Arid who is only concerned with tracking down the user and stopping them. That said, there’s a secondary objective that has become available: contacting Josephs, our pilot. All signs point to him being somewhere on the ship and Arid is confident that he will help in locating the user and eliminating the virus before it can finish its work.
To assist us in these tasks, we’re going to be working with an AI that is very different from the others that have come before. This one has been designed with a focus on empathy, understanding emotions and interacting with a wide variety of humans, something that we haven’t seen up to this point in this game or the last. We’ll be having quite a lot of conversations here and they serve as the main obstacle to achieving our goals. Combat won’t avail us here and our duties prohibit us from exploring about freely so we’re going to have to be resourceful from the get-go, something Arid has become quite adept at.
While I hope Arid doesn’t do what they’ve done to the butler and One to this AI, I have a sneaking suspicion that it’s only a matter of time.
