Let's Play C&C Tiberian Sun Firestorm (NOD) #37: Dragging CABAL to the Recycle Bin
This video contains scenes that may not be suitable for people who suffer from epilepsy. Please keep this in mind if you intend to watch the video.
CABAL is at our mercy, but we're fresh out of that with none in the back. There's only one punishment befitting those who betray Nod: erasure. Sure, they have the Core Defender, but that's nothing compared to our might. Only us making a critical tactical blunder would allow the AI to have a glimmer of a chance at victory at this, the eleventh hour, and we wouldn't do that.
Nope. Not at all.
I really enjoyed Firestorm. It's so much better than Covert Operations, the expansion for the original C&C in all the right ways. The new campaigns contain fun, unique and challenging levels which flesh out the story. The new units are fun for the most part and the balance updates to older ones - look at you, Nod artillery - were much needed. It gives you more of what you loved in Tiberian Sun and makes the skirmish mode even more action-packed, something I'll look forward to messing around with a lot in my spare time. If you enjoyed the base game, you owe it to yourself to give this a try, if only for the additional stuff added to skirmish.
So, what's to follow from this? I've got a Peglin run as a palate-cleanser, but after that we'll be diving straight into the Return of the Obra Dinn, one of the games voted for by you, the community. I have no experience with it, so it should be an interesting time!
See you next let's play!
