Beginning warp room 3, we go through level 11, The Gauntlet, and level 12, Tsunami. Level 11 is actually a pretty standard level, with no gimmicks or anything to speak of, just some nice straightforward platforming in a castle. Level 12, on the other hand, gives us Coco to control as she goes through a very rainy Asian village and eventually tries to escape a tsunami. It's a pretty short level and the chase sequence is not that hard (assuming you actually remember which button makes Coco's scooter go faster); just don't forget 3 easy-to-miss boxes in the bonus room like I did the first time through.

Where these levels can really get tricky is their secret paths. Level 11 has a death route, with much more densely-packed traps than the main level, and it's tough but manageable. Level 12 has the first gem route, or at least the first one that we can actually go to, and it's...a good deal less manageable. The main problem with the blue gem route is how many single-block-wide platforms there are, many of which are not in a straight line, so it's extremely easy to fall right into the water and die. Yeah...this one is painful...it took me 13 tries to beat, and I swear it felt like more. Also, what the heck is it doing in a fire-themed warp room? At least level 11 has a little bit of fire in a couple of the death pits, the one fireplace, and the one trap that drops flaming balls, but level 12 doesn't even have that excuse, being a level that is very clearly based around water without a speck of fire in sight. Why wasn't that level in warp room 2? It's not as if it would have been too hard for it. Oh well, I suppose.
