We finish up the first warp room with the last regular level and the first boss. Level 5, Compactor Reactor, starts off with a mine cart section, where you can lean left and right to hit boxes and avoid Nitros, and then moves into an underground factory of sorts, with giant drills, falling rocks, conveyor belts, crushing pistons, robot enemies, and so on. I really should have gotten the gem on my first try here, but I completely missed seeing the bonus area, so we'll have to come back for it. Boss level 1 is called Rumble in the Roks (yes, "roks"), and it's actually kind of annoying. Crunch is fought for the first time in the Atlasphere, and you have to hit rocks to make them turn color before he does, basically. You can take a lot of hits before dying, but the finicky controls and the fact that Crunch (in his own rolling ball) can easily undo your progress in each stage of the fight makes it tend to overstay its welcome.
