With the twelfth floor being little different compared to the previous ones, it's fair to say that I've been working my way through this level a lot quicker then the previous ones, faster still with the relatively easy enemies. Apart from the floor with the scaladars, in general I've been able to cover more ground between resting thanks to my copious amounts of healing which only grows with each level we get. the iuon stone helps us spend far less time resting though that would only be significant right now were we a class that couldn't magically conjure food, as the passage of time doesn't make much difference otherwise barring poison and other status effects we can mostly deal with easily.
The thirteenth floor of course is another matter entirely. If there's one thing this game has taught me, it's to enter each lower level fully expecting the game to pull out all its punches and try to obliterate you your first tentative steps from the stairs back up. Quickly identifying what foes you'll face and how dangerous they are certainly helps, though at this point there don't seem to be many enemies we haven't faced before. With our high levels and decent equipment however, I'm relatively confident that most enemies we'll face aren't going to kill us quickly, provided we don't meet any enemies like the medusas from earlier.
We've yet to meet a beholder after all and no matter what game you encounter them in, they're always nasty.
