During the Avatar's conversations with Mythran, the hermit pointed us in the direction of who we need to talk to so we can begin mastering the magics of the four titans. He suggested that we first seek out the necromancers that reside in the cemetery of Tenebrae. We know roughly where to start looking for that and there's no time like the present to take the first steps towards escaping Pagan, so it's time to pay the necromancers a visit and see if they'll train us in their ways. The answer isn't likely to be an immediate yes; I'm expecting a cautious 'maybe' on condition that we perform a task for them, such is the way of many RPGs but I'm sure whatever task they give us, we'll easily be able to achieve it.
The cemetary is an example of the amount of detail that was put in the development of this game, rewarding the player with little tidbits of information and humour provided they're prepared to stray off the well-trodden path and explore. If there's one thing I'll say in the game's favour without hesitation it's that so far, a lot of in-depth world building went into designing everything on the island. Tenebrae has some deep and well-written characters, lots to read about the city and the society of the island and many hidden and forgotten places that you won't encounter at all if you're not willing to search for them.
If the game will continue to impress me with this as we progress remains to be seen but right now, it's certainly succeeding at drawing me into the setting and gloomy atmosphere of the world the Avatar finds himself in.
