This game features no music outside of the intro cutscene. I suggest that you play some music to go with the gameplay. If you want a suggestion for music for this video, one is provided below.

With how hard the tenth floor was, the eleventh is so much easier to deal with that it makes me question just how the game works out the difficulty curve for the dungeon seed. This isn't the first time that we've had both dramatic spikes in difficulty and sudden troughs in challenge and its happened more the further we've got in the game. The beginning had a shallow but steady increase in difficulty that's been replaced by a wild roller coaster now.

Perhaps it's because we've reached the point in the game where the abilities of our class are shining through, allowing us to decimate certain foes while struggling against others. Wizards are far better at this point at dealing danged damage to multiple foes and identifying items, while a fighter would be able to tank and quickly dispatch multiple enemies with their large hit point pool and high THAC0. A thief surely has certain skills that would help them at this point, but I've not got enough experience with them in this game to tell you what they are.

Seledran may have his weaknesses but we can compensate for them with a huge amount of healing, true seeing and the wand of smiting +3 which so far have made short work of most foes we've encountered. I'm not going to complain about an easy level after fighting more scaladars then I think I ever will in any tabletop campaign for the rest of my life, but it does make me wonder if scaladars are just the tip of the difficulty iceberg in the latter half of the game.

I hope not. I really hope not.
