Remember what I said last video about this boss being the true test of your knowledge of the game's mechanics? If you know them well enough, this battle is unfortunately trivially easy. With Flash and Granite used on alternate turns, the fight stops being a race against time to overcome the final boss before its terrible attacks whittle you down; instead it's a slow but steady battle of attrition where you have to use your resources wisely and chip away at the boss's health bit by bit. Giving Ivan and Mia those two djinn was important because Isaac deals the most damage and Garet has Wish Well and Cure Poison, both important spells for when we get into a spot of bother. Even with the shields granted by those djinn this boss can still do some impressive damage and the deadly poison is can inflict en mass isn't something to be taken lightly.

Still, it's not this battle that's going to the problem, at least I hope that's the case. Instead it's going to be what happens afterwards that is so absurdly silly that it takes the dumb thing that occurred last video and makes it seem downright reasonable. Rarely do I get so frustrated with the plot of a game, but the ending of Golden Sun has moments so ridiculous that you know they were put in there just to allow the sequel to exist.

My version of events in the entire section after the first battle with Saturos and Menardi would've been so much different. Sure, it would've meant reworking the sequel completely it would've made far more sense in the perspective of the narrative.

That's not to say this version of things doesn't have its powerful moments, because it does. They're just mostly drowned out by the silly ones I'm afraid.
