Let's Play The Sims #54: Dave Learns of Magic
110To learn magic, one must understand how it functions and your limits. One must discover the focal points of arcane power and use them to create fantastical effects that defy all that you previously knew of the world. To use magic is to be a powerful and dangerous contradiction that walks on a razor's edge. If you fall, the oblivion that awaits is worse than any nightmare your mind can concoct and the if you're lucky, only you will suffer for it rather then all around as your slip into evil and corruption.
It's a good thing in the Sims, magic is mostly about minor cantrips and making your life either a little more efficient or far more wild and zany, isn't it? I doubt Dave would be any good at proper sorcery, but Sims magic is much more his style. Let's not get too carried away though and start out with something small and simple, a basic spell that can be made with easily gathered ingredients. If that works, we'll consider progressing to something more substantial.
Who knows, maybe in fifty years he'll gain his first level of adept.
