This is a blind playthrough of the game. As such, please avoid posting puzzle solutions or plot spoilers, so as to not spoil the experience for me or other viewers who haven’t played the game.

We only have one more secret left to uncover, one more orb to turn off before… something happens. I’m relatively sure that that something will involve the massive orb we found deep in the lab, but what we’ll do with that remains to be seen. Is it what controls all the mind control helmets we found scattered about? Is it the secret headquarters of the mastermind behind the ruination we’ve travelled through? Is it where the lab staff keep their supply of white chocolate biscuits? Whatever purpose that strange device has will be revealed as soon as I figure out this pesky elevator puzzle.

More importantly, will all this secret hunting answer the questions that burn at the back of my mind or will it present more questions, questions that inadvertently answer other questions? Let’s find out, shall we?

So, what did I think of INSIDE? I had no idea what to expect when I first began this journey and I must say, the game has thoroughly impressed me. The game looks lovely and plays brilliantly, possessing simple controls that are easy to pick up and master. The puzzles are neither too tricky nor punishing, though some force you to think outside the box. As for the story, while I still have some questions that were left unanswered, the narrative managed to explain enough without dialogue that I think I know what’s going on in the bleak, ruined world that our protagonist called home. That I was able to become so invested in the narrative without there being any spoken dialogue is a testament to how well the game was put together. Most importantly however, the game was great fun to play, even if some of it was unsettling. While it is a short experience, I find that plays to the game’s benefit; it doesn’t drag out the puzzles, nor outstay its welcome. If I were to make a suggestion on how to improve the game, I’d have there be a better way to figure out the secret in the field. Your character stumbling over the hatch would be more than enough to clue in the observant that something was amiss there. I would encourage anyone who enjoys a good puzzle-platformer to give this one a try, to see if they can piece together the plot better than I can, something I’m sure you can achieve.

So, what’s next? I think it’s time I return to something that’s both familiar and not at the same time. What differentiates this one from others I have played before however is a substantial increase in difficulty, something that some of my viewers will be rubbing their hands in glee about. While we will ultimately prevail, the forces against us are sure to put up a fight unlike any other we’ve seen before.

See you next let’s play!
