Once more we are beneath the earth, seeking riches that we’ll use in our never-ending quest to acquire more stuff. You can end up with absolutely tons of resources if you’re determined enough to seek them out and while I do end up find a lot in my mining excursions, it’s nothing compared to others. Some go so far as to strip mine the land, carving out huge holes to find absolutely everything.
Strip mining certainly yields more stuff and is a lot safer than spelunking as I do but I like the adventure aspect of cave exploration. Every cave is different and exciting to explore and not knowing if an enemy will be around the next corner adds a certain tension that other mining methods can’t provide. Some would call me foolhardy – many already do, on top of being inefficient – but it’s the way I like the play the game.
