0The next enemy is the Ore Eaters - giant worms who live in asteroids and eat ore to survive.
Their main gimmick is that if you colonize an asteroid that previously had an ore eater colony, it explodes. This might have mattered if they built more than one colony. They also have some special missiles. One of them damages every building on a an asteroid - it looks like they got me with one of those at 45:54. The other one auto-destroys a single building and adds ore to the asteroid, which might explain the extra ore event at 46:30. I think the idea behind that one is that they are intended to to follow it up with an attempt to take the asteroid for themselves. Since they didn't do that, they just gave me free ore.

New Techs used:
Gravity Nullifier: Prevents asteroid movement in a large radius. Very helpful for avoiding collisions.
Solar matrix: The toughest and most space-efficient power generator. Also comes with a turret-on-top variant, which is nice because this turret doesn't use power to fire.
Power amplifier: Doubles output of all solar power buildings.
Improved sensors: Ats a a free sensor array on eery asteroid
Seismic Penetrator: Mines the rare and valuable Traxium and Nexos ores.
Shield X50: adds 50 HP to a ship.
Asteroid Tracker: Shows movement speed and direction of all asteroids in the space view.
Building Armour: doubles building HP. This is not retroactive, although if you also get a repair facility, it will slowly repair old buildings up to the new maximum HP.
