Let’s Play Lucky Monkey #03: An Apple a Day Keeps Horatio at Bay
There aren’t that many enemies in this game that we haven’t already faced outside of the boss battles, but that’s not where the challenge in each level comes from. Even a tiny pool of opponents can provide a large variety of challenge if the levels are built to take advantage of their abilities or better yet, present you with situations that limit your ability to counter what they can do. Even the humble Melun can cost you lives if you can’t jump over them so it’s wise to treat ever enemy as one that can defeat you, no matter how far into the game you are.
We’ve still got a few enemies left to see as well as additional level mechanics, so there’s more that the game will be teaching us before we’re done. It’s a good thing that I’ve been able to stockpile a lot of lives up to this point, as you never know when things will get a lot harder or, more likely, that I’ll make some silly mistakes that cost me some of those lives. I’d rather not figure out how the continue system works, so let’s try and keep Horatio from failing, shall we?
