147Before we head off to go and face Zio - we're not out to directly fight Zio but let's face it, chances of that happening are high - there are a few other things that we can do first. There's the side mission given to us by the Hunter's Guild to go back to Mile and deal with a minor sandworm problem, which is actually a major problem because the sandworms of Motavia are horrifying and huge monsters. There's also the wreckage of some high tech thing that crashed from space nearby, a place surely teeming with robots and monsters and death. It may also be somewhat linked to the hidden away facilities that we're trying to shut down, so it's worth taking a risk and exploring within.
So far, the game hasn't presented us with any places that are filled with enemies far too tough for us to face, so my initial worries about exploring the wreckage may have been unfounded. That's no indication that the game won't do that at some point though, so we need to approach this place with all the caution that we give every new dungeon we step into and that means loading up on healing items and not being afraid to retreat if we have to. No treasure or knowledge is worth our lives after all and we can hardly rescue Demi from Zio's clutches if we're dead.
As a random point, why are our weapons so effective against robots? We're using boomerangs, swords and other melee weapons against ancient yet highly sophisticated machines of war that are armed with guns. Either our weapons are far better than we thought they were or robots are made of the metallic equivalent of papier-mâché, but I'm not complaining. It's just a shame we can't loot their weapons and use them for our own as I for one would love to be using some zappy pew pews right about now.
