Let’s Play Rise of the Wool Ball #08: Crushing Cat-astrophe
138The third and final episode is the culmination of all we’ve encountered so far as well as a new enemy type and a new mechanic. Even now the game is throwing more things at us to learn, often in the midst of huge hordes of evil space cats that we need to deal with. Fortunately for us, those large groups are typically in equally large arenas, giving us ample space to dodge and weave as well as unleash our arsenal of weaponry.
The third episode also has the most sinister and foreboding atmosphere of them all. The aesthetics, the music and the booming thunder all speak of danger and wrongness, of the devastation the evil space cats so carelessly wrought upon the world Rebecca and Scott call home. It keeps you on your toes and that’s for the better, as there are more than a few surprises in store for us. We can only hope that somehow, we’re able to undo the damage to the planet and restore it to its former beauty. That’d take a miracle of awesome magical proportion sad sadly, our magical sheep friends are fresh out of miracles.
