We finish up World 3 this time around, and if you watched episode 5, you'll know what the single biggest problem I had in this one is...but we'll get to that in a minute. The second fortress of World 3 is mostly underwater, as you might expect, and it introduces at least one new enemy. After that, we get to 3-8...dear lord, 3-8. I absolutely HATE this level, even more than 3-3 if anything, and for the same reason: BOSS BASS! *insert stream of profanity* There are fewer enemies in 3-8 than in 3-3, but the platforms have a wider range of motion, which, in turn, makes them even less safe. Oh, and just to make things extra fun, this is the White Mushroom House level of World 3. Seriously, Nintendo, you couldn't have picked it from the 77% of this world's levels that do not contain Boss Bass?! I'm pretty sure I died more in this level than I did in all of the ones before this put together. So if you don't like grumbling and ranting, you may want to skip this episode, or at least skip from about 2:25 to 9:05. At least it will be quite some time before I have to face another level _that_ obnoxious, though, not to mention the next level after that is pretty decent, though. 3-9 actually mostly plays like a regular grassland level, except for the final section where you go underwater a bit. (Though, oddly, this is one of the most likely levels in the game for you to run out of time on, or at least it is for me.) Then we have the World 3 airship, which mostly just seems to serve to introduce some mechanics that will appear more prominently in future airships; the level is fairly short for an airship. The boss battle is different, though, with Wendy's arena being completely flat and her attacking you with one 16x16 projectile that bounces off walls instead of the smaller ones seen with the first two bosses. Wendy, of course, is the only female Koopaling, named after Wendy O. Williams.

Three worlds down, five to go, and we shouldn't have to worry to much about the next world. It's not only fun but pretty much a walk in the park compared to World 3.
