With two worlds finished, we move on to World 3, and this one is kind of interesting (though not entirely in a good way...). This is the water-themed world of the game, set on a bunch of islands in the ocean, though given the limited selection of tilesets in SMB3, there aren't really any actual beach levels. We do have underwater levels, though, such as 3-1, the first such level in the game. 3-2 is more of a "low-altitude athletic" level, with a line-guided platform and jumping fish. 3-3...UGH. I hate 3-3, because it introduces Boss Bass, a large fish that jumps up from the water and tries to swallow you whole. And we all know how I feel about enemies that eat you. At least the next level is pretty low-stress, that being the first fortress. (Yes, _first_...World 3 is the first one to actually have _two_ fortresses, not to mention _nine_ numbered levels, making it long enough that I'll be splitting this one into three videos rather than two.) It's one of those maze-type levels where the exit is found purely through trial and error, but since it's the same every time, it's easy enough to repeat. In this case, the sixth door is the one that will allow you to progress, though two of the other doors lead to prizes.
