When we last left Arid, it was in a bad way. Josephs, who Arid had bent its programming parameters and broken the very rules that governed it to save, hadn’t been in the suit the entire time. Upon this revelation, Arid’s AI began to collapse as it realised it become a deviant AI and had no purpose. Though its helmet still remained and turned on at the end, the future remained grim.
Arid won’t have long to consider the ramifications of its actions, however, for someone is trying to access its systems and gain control. We’ve no idea who or what it is or what they want but there’s one thing we DO know: we’re not going to sit idly by and watch it destroy us. They may think we’re defenceless but you’d be surprised how quickly one can find purpose when your life is in peril.
