77Sometimes, it's not about aiming for your objective and striving for that at the expense of everything else. If you do, your vision will be so focused on what's ahead that you don't stop to appreciate what's around you; the beauty of the present is just as wonderful as the promises of the future and so much is missed if you take a few moments to see it. Life may be a journey but that's no reason not to take a breather to admire the current landscape.
The same can be said for this game. Objectives are fine, but if you focus on them only you'll miss all the quirky little details that the game has to offer. The engine has a lot of curious quirks, there are humorous animation bugs and there's a ton of thoughtfully written and humorous text to read, be it in the items or the descriptions of locations. A lot of love and effort went into creating this game and its expansions and stopping to consider all that was done to make it what it is is no bad thing. Right now we're working on the goal of improving the upstairs bathroom but there are lots of little things to take in as well, like how far Dave has come in such a short time. It's truly been quite a journey, has it not and it's quite over just yet.
