Let's Play Wolfenstein: The New Order [Part 18] - Set Roth
Wolfenstein The New Order shows us the atrocities of war first-hand by tossing BJ Blazcowicz into a nazi concentration camp somewhere in Africa. It's probably not the first game World War II setting to have segments of the gameplay in concentration camp themed levels, and it probably wont be the last. That said, it's still pretty horrifying, since Woflenstein: The New Order has a fairly evocative narrative. The events of the story and the horros you see can really hit you hard.
And then you go and shoot nazis to make yourself feel better because, well, FPS games tend to have gameplay that involves shooting things.
Anyway, we're here to find a fellow named Set Roth who's from this secret group of technology worshipers called the Brotherhood of Stee-- I mean Da'at Yichud. Apparantly the nazis only have giant robots and super concrete because they found one of Da'at Yichud's small technology stashes and reverse engineered all the stuff for their own nefarious purposes, although that's kind of a spoiler because that part of the story hasn't happened yet in this episode. In fact, we just find Set Roth and plot our escape this time around. Although, we do get to kill some nazis because Wolfenstein The New Order is the kind of game that will give you some gameplay in between the cutscenes. Of course, this video mostly contains the stealth and knife gameplay of Wolfenstein The New Order, and not the standard FPS gameplay. That said, the story does progress a lot, so I think it's fine.
