Esruda has decided to take matters into their own hands, marching upon the fire capital. Whether the plan was the retake the city or attack Balkoth directly, both of them are marred by a critical oversight the lord didn’t consider: they have no army defending them. The earth lord may not have had a force that could make ours but at least he had a force. Esruda has only two champions accompanying them, making me question what quirk of the game’s AI made it think this was a good idea.

Regardless of the reason for their folly, I’m not going to turn away from a golden opportunity to eradicate one of the two actual threats to our domination of Urak, leaving order as the only real threat. Chaos still aren’t a problem – though they might develop into one when we defeat life – but we’ll need to watch out for the marauders that come to get us once we slay Esruda, specifically the legendary creature.

Come to think of it, we haven’t seen the earth legendary creature yet either...
