Graphics and Sound
Lumber Jacked has beautifully designed retro graphics, everything is in 16 bits, character designs are nice, not really very high in details but still pretty as the game is really designed that way, no smooth edges or any of the fancy graphics, environments are cool, it has very nicely foreground and really pretty backdrops, it is simply lovely, colors are great too, there is much variety and they truly are quite vivid and sharp, animations are very nice, everything is just fluid and fast paced which make it a lot of fun controlling the character, music and sounds are also great, the in game music sounds very exciting and sound effects are awesome, special effects on the other hand are cool too, nothing extraordinary really but the game has a distinct classic appeal to it that you really don't mind simple effects, overall, the game is looking great from start to finish...very nice indeed.
Gameplay
Lumber Jacked has a fast paced gameplay and really quite challenging, the obstacles presented in the game are not really simple as they are the moving types, like spikes, crates, arrows, rocks, and many more, and as such, they are constantly moving, battles also take place throughout the game, there are different types of enemies here like grunts, brutes and ninjas all of which can be killed with your weapon, Joe the Lumber Jack can also wall jump by the way, this skill is very useful so make sure to master it early on as you will progress faster if this skill is perfectly executed, controls are easy by the way, the left and right arrows on the left controls the character and the action buttons are on the right.
Features
Lumber Jacked features beautifully designed 16 bit graphics, truly classic when it comes to looks and gameplay, it is fast paced and action packed with a lot of enemies to kill and a lot of obstacles to overcome and most of all, the game has very easy to learn controls to make it more fun and easier to play.
Conclusion
Lumber Jacked I always enjoy retro games, they are quite simple and really very complicated to play, but this one is really quite a challenge to play, my character died so many times in the game that I lost count already, play the game and see for yourself, test your skills if you have what it takes to beat it.
