Sword of Xolan is an action packed platform game presented in pixel art, you will play the game as Xolan, a skilled and powerful warrior, you need to set out and venture through different locations to battle the evil Borzandar and his diabolical horde, you will be battling evil creatures and monsters spread across the once peaceful kingdom, you'll need to use your fighting skills, hacking and slashing your way through the enemy ranks killing as many monsters and evil creatures as possible, but the path to Borzandar is perilous and full of dangers, his minions are everywhere, they are spread across the lands just waiting for you, and once you get in their way, they will mount an attack for sure, indeed, its going to be a battle of epic proportions, and you'll need all the help you can get in order to succeed, fortunately,you will be armed to the teeth, you'll have access to the most powerful weapons in the land, not to mention Xolan's special skills that you can develop, the game also features 2 game modes for you to play, there is the adventure mode where you need to go through 3 acts and the challenge mode where you need to complete your objectives within a given time, so come on and play the game, and see if you have the skills to save the kingdom from Borzandar here in Sword of Xolan.
Graphics and Sound
Sword of Xolan has beautifully designed retro graphics, if you dig classic looking games, be sure to check out this one, character designs are great, although retro by design, they truly looked pretty and beautiful, even the enemies and other characters in the game looked great, environments are also pretty, the different locations looked unique and truly different from each other, colors are also cool, lots of variety, animations are also smooth, although it lacks frame rate, the game still looks smooth throughout, music and sounds are also nice, nothing really fabulous but nothing bad either, special effects are also simple, but that doesn't stop it from being pretty and nice, overall,the retro appeal of the game is more that enough to make it looking good.
Gameplay
Sword of Xolan is a platform based adventure game, and as such, you will be exploring a lot of platform based levels, there are a lot of enemies in the game so don't be surprised when you find your character in tight spots very often, better kill them as fast as you can as it is harder to dodge enemy attacks when there are too many of them, Xolan's abilities can be upgraded by the way, but you'll need a lot of coins to do so as they are quite expensive and you'll need to buy ability cards to upgrade them, fortunately, there are a lot of treasure chests located in the stages, you only need to make sure to find them and get as many as possible so you can save upon coins faster.

Sword of Xolan features retro graphics, the deigns are pixel art and really quite pretty, it features a platform based adventure, the game also has 30 uniquely designed levels, featuring a lot of enemies and big bad ass bosses, it also boasts of easy to use and simple controls for your playing pleasure.

Sword of Xolan is one exciting game, I really enjoy retro type games as they are simple to play, no complex stories or complex gameplays, everything is quite straightforward, if you are into retro classic games, you should definitely check this one out if you haven't played it yet.
