This panel will be dedicated to discussion of AMVs (Anime Music Videos) and the genre’s impact on internet culture. A video genre that dates back to the 80s, the AMV saw mass appeal on youtube in the late 2000’s. Although not as prevalent today as they were a decade ago, AMVs have undoubtedly impacted you in some way! We will dive into the history of the genre and why it has such a huge staying power online.
