Here’s a quick Elden Ring tip for you. There’s a big, old dragon in Dragonbarrow region, just north of Caelid. It’s not very sporting, but you can melee him easily without him fighting back, and killing him drops 74 thousand runes and some dragonhearts. To get to him, start in the Caelid region around the Sellia Gateway, then head east and north up the hill along the road. Rest at the site of grace called Fort Faroth to reset all the aggro. Then, to make sure you can do this quickly, equip a weapon that causes blood loss, such as the claws, the uchigatana, the reduvia dagger, the bloodstained dagger, any weapon infused with the bloody slash ashes of war, or any weapon with blood grease applied. Blood loss causes an enemy to lose a fixed percentage of their health, and this dragon has an enormous amount of health, so blood loss is by far the quickest way to take it down.

Before you commit to killing it, if you want to maximize the value you get out of it, you can summon your friends so they get the runes too. Before it dies, if you have one on you, you can also consume a gold-pickled fowl foot, which increases the runes you receive by 30% for 3 minutes.
