This is the Extra Mushroom Cup, to unlock the Extra cups, you need to have completed all five Grand Prix cups, then play them again and collect 100 coins total, and that is how you unlock the Extra cups. This game has 20 more tracks, and all of them are tracks from Super Mario Kart for the SNES, the tracks have five laps, and some of the obstacles from the original tracks were removed.

I don't like the remastered Super Mario Kart music as much as the original version in this game, and while it is good to see SNES tracks in this game, they aren't as creative as the new tracks in this game, but I do like how they use backgrounds from tracks in this game, for example, Mario Circuit 1 has the background for Peach Circuit, Donut Plains 1 uses Riverside Park for the background, Ghost Valley 1 uses the background for Boo Lake, and Bowser Castle uses the background of this game's Bowser Castle 1. In Super Mario Kart, there were five tracks in the Grand Prix, but in this game, there are four tracks in each Grand Prix.
