The next Tera Raid Event is another Unrivaled Pokémon event, or Mighty Pokémon, or whichever you want to call it, but anyway, it is the 7 Star Tera Raid Event, and the featured Pokémon is Samurott with the Bug Tera Type. The previous 7 Star Tera Raid Event we had was Decidueye, and right now we are getting Samurott, and I did read somewhere that the Tera Type could be the one that has the type advantage against the secondary typing of their Hisuian Forms, Hisuian Decidueye being Grass/Fighting, and Flying being super effective against Fighting, Hisuian Samurott is a Water/Dark-type, Bug being super effective against Dark. We could see Typhlosion being the next 7 Star Tera Raid Event with a Dark Tera Type, because Hisuian Typhlosion is a Fire/Ghost-type.
Going over the Tera Raid Event, Samurott has the Bug Tera Type, its moves are Aqua Cutter, Megahorn, Night Slash, and Drill Run, and its additional moves are Bulldoze, Focus Energy, and Swords Dance. Samurott will usually start with Focus Energy right away, and I have only seen it use Swords Dance once, so it isn't going to be that hard, but it can be challenging, and it has the Hidden Ability of Shell Armor, protecting it from critical hits.
I trained up two Pokémon for this event, the main Pokémon that I trained up is a Gyarados, which I changed the Tera Type to Flying and gave him Tera Blast to help once Terastallized, and he has Chilling Water and Flamethrower to get in some damage before Terastallized, the only Rock-type move Gyarados can learn is Stone Edge, which doesn't have the best accuracy. My secondary Pokémon is Corviknight, which has Screech, Reflect, and Roost to help defensively, and Drill Peck for dealing damage. As for the best counters, mainly Flying-type Pokémon, like Dragonite, Salamence, Gyarados, and Pelipper are good choices, Paldean Tauros with Anger Point, preferably the Aqua Breed to resist Samurott's Aqua Cutter, can be useful as it will have its Attack maximized, and with access to moves like Stone Edge, it can deal heavy damage, and Tera Blast from the Flying Tera Type is a good move to have against it.
When caught, Samurott has a Lonely Nature, but you can use a Mint on it to change its Nature to Adamant or Modest, while Samurott does have a higher Special Attack stat, its Attack stat is about as good, the downside is its Speed is kind of average, which is kind of a drawback to Samurott, its Hisuian counterpart has a slightly higher Speed stat. For moves it can learn, both Aqua Cutter and Night Slash are Egg Moves, and it does learn some good Egg Moves, like Sacred Sword, Air Slash, and Knock Off. Its level up moves aren't too bad, like Megahorn, Aerial Ace, Aqua Jet, Encore, Aqua Tail, Swords Dance, and Hydro Pump, and it has some good TM compatability with moves like Chilling Water, Bulldoze, Icy Wind, Avalanche, Smart Strike, False Swipe, Brick Break, Body Slam, Waterfall, Grass Knot, Taunt, X-Scissor, Liquidation, Surf, Ice Beam, Blizzard, Hydro Cannon, and a few other moves. The Bug Tera Type is good defensively on Samurott, as it does give it a resistance to Grass-type moves, and the only Bug-type moves it can use are X-Scissor and Megahorn, when going with Special Attacks, Samurott will need Tera Blast. Samurott can even work with a Ground Tera Type to give it an immunity to Electric-type moves, but it does keep its Grass weakness, if it needs a Tera Type that resists both of those types, Dragon is a notable one defensively. If only Samurott had Sharpness for its Ability, that way it would put moves like Aqua Cutter, Night Slash, and Sacred Sword to good use, but they gave that to its Water/Dark-type Hisuian Form as its Hidden Ability.
